Robert L. Rispoli, a Member of Clayman, Tapper & Baram, LLC, draws upon 20 years of industrial, corporate and private client experience. He received his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science from the University of Connecticut in 1988 and his MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993. Bob, who in 1999, received his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, with honors, is a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations, the Patent Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court of Connecticut. He recently served as General Counsel to Precision Combustion, Inc., www.precision-combustion.com a leading developer of combustion technologies serving the energy, chemical, and aerospace industries.
Bob provides counsel in helping clients manage intellectual property and real property including creation and acquisition, exercise of rights, income generation, and transfer and divestiture. His engineering and manufacturing experience provides valuable insight when handling patent, trademark, copyright and other intellectual property matters. Bob's technical background also enables him to provide efficient and effective representation in environmental matters associated with real estate and corporate transactions.
In addition, Bob has developed experience in navigating the complex rules associated with the federal acquisition regulations, the federal aviation regulations, and the various federal and state environmental regulations. He has represented clients before the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection with respect to permit applications, permit transfers, and violations. He also has worked with the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy and NASA with respect to procurement of services.
Bob resides in Windsor and is a member of the Windsor Town Council. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission of the Town of Windsor, is a member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, the Windsor Marksman’s Association, the Elks and the American Legion, having honorably served in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He formerly served on the Advisory Board to the University of Connecticut School of Engineering and formerly served as the President of the School of Engineering Alumni Society. Bob volunteered as a soccer coach and little league coach and now volunteers as a Cub Scout Leader.
