Brian J. Ladouceur, Jr., an associate with the firm of Baram, Tapper & Gans, LLC, concentrates his practice in the area of corporate litigation, corporate counseling, business and commercial transactions and employment law. His experience in these areas, as well as his prior business and industry experience, enables him to formulate strategy and educate business persons regarding legal trends. He regularly assists and counsels entrepreneurs, new executives and multi-generational family business owners to better navigate today's complex and risky business environment. Brian also assists his clients with business and residential real estate financing transactions, SBA loans, purchase and sale agreements, commercial leasing and conveyancing.

Brian uses his litigation experience to advocate on behalf of the firm's clients on various personal injury, automobile accident, premises slip and fall injuries, workers compensation claims and criminal matters. He has represented clients before the Connecticut Superior Court and Massachusetts District and Superior Courts.

Brian received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western New England College in 2003. He also received a MBA from the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University, received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Connecticut and studied abroad at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. He is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar Associations, as well as the American and Hartford County Bar Associations.

Brian represents small to medium sized businesses, including those in construction related industries, precision manufacturing, defense subcontractors and business to business services such as software companies, consulting practices, professional medical practices, engineer/inventors and distributors. He assists clients with litigation matters such as breach of contracts, employment matters and construction defects; and with corporate matters such as commercial financing, asset sales, licensing agreements, operating agreements, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements. His experience also extends to business formation, business succession and other corporate legal matters such as trademark, foreign registration and business dissolution.

Brian also represents select clients with respect to personal injury, workers compensation and employment discrimination matters.

In March 2011 Brian instructed continuing education students at Tunxis Community College in an Entrepreneurship Essential Workshop on various legal issues, including entity creation and formation, licensing, contract basics, intellectual property and hiring employees. Brian resides in Avon; he is an elected member of the Avon Zoning Board of Appeals and is Chair of the Avon Republican Town Committee. He is also a member of Rotary International Avon/Canton Chapter and the UConn Alumni Association and Kappa Sigma Alumni Association.
